Re: vhsl record book
It doesn't surprise me a bit. The bad thing is if someone notifies them of a discrepancy, they still don't do anything.
This isn't exactly the same as the record book, but the state football final program, which lists regional and state playoff records, still shows the most points scored in a AA regional playoff game as 63 by Sussex Central from sometime in the 1980s.
Tazewell scored 67 in a 1992 first-round win over Christiansburg. I ran across this years ago and e-mailed them about it but it has never been updated.

I informed them about some records being broken back in 2002, they told me they needed a print copy for proof( like a newspaper article), so I sent it to them and had no problem whatsoever. The records were updated in the next state program. I understand your frustration, but I see why they do things the way they do. If you can't prove the records were broken, then you can't expect them to believe you.

Re: vhsl record book
In the case of a regional playoff score, the VHSL actually HAS the information. It shouldn't require any outside proof.
